Guy Brogden, now a non-executive chairman of Northampton-based regional real estate specialist Barwood Capital, says his firm ‘is very collegiate internally, and our service to clients personal’. 

Created in 2009, with a parent company 13 years older, Barwood has been involved in UK property development for over 25 years. The firm is focused on accessing and delivering value through managed development and active asset management, offering risk-adjusted returns from property development and refurbishment.

Brogden began his career at King & Co (now JLL) in 1976, becoming partner in 1988. ‘In 1992, a large single Swiss family office entrusted me with investing £100 million into UK property. That’s probably the moment when I knew that I had become a “trusted adviser”,’ he recalls.
