The Extraordinary Adventure Club
Company
The Extraordinary Adventure Club creates bespoke programmes taking individuals, families and small groups on journeys of self-discovery, delivering powerful and enduring personal transformations.
The EAC combines ‘visceral experiential travel’, both domestic and international, from a baselining retreat in the Scottish Highlands to camel trekking with nomads through the Sudanese desert to motorbiking across the Mongolian wilderness or training with a southern African anti-poaching squad – with a blended offer of psychiatry, psychology, and coaching to address clients’ needs.
Throughout the experiences, in-person therapy and mentoring sessions are delivered by carefully selected, world-leading practitioners. Support continues afterwards, with clients engaging in their ongoing development. Founded in 2012, the EAC is increasingly working with medical professionals to support clients with acute or chronic needs. It has also expanded its offering to ‘rites of passage’ experiences for younger clients, looking to help ‘heirs within enterprise families’ tackle personal issues, creating meaningful pathways to long-term well-being.
The EAC’s work is entirely bespoke, with its founder warning against seeking an easy fix. Instead, they aim to activate clients’ ‘inherent resilience’, changing their perceptions’ of themselves and the wider world. They focus on ‘benefits and outcomes, not features’.
