Spear’s Review
Carole Bamford launched the Daylesford Village Cottages, a hamlet of 15 Cotswold cottages nestled in the 2,500 acre Daylesford Estate, towards the end of 2022 as part of the Daylesford Stays offering – which comprises 32 total cottages and four modern British pubs.
The self-catered Daylesford Village Cottages can be rented from £375 per night. The smallest, ‘Wisteria’, sleeps two, while the largest, ‘Old School House’, can accommodate up to eight adults. It is also possible to hire the entire village at once (price on application).
All have been built with local stone, with the architecture heavily influenced by the Tudor Gothic style. Each comes equipped with an Aga, private garden, fire, washer dryer, private parking and, of course, Bamford products.
Guests also have access to ‘tailor-made experiences’ at Daylesford Organic Farm – which include Cookery School classes, floristry workshops, wine tastings and access to the Bamford Wellness Spa. There’s also the farm’s award-winning sustainable shop, filled to the brim with luscious local produce.
