Clive Robertson joined Healys in 2016; a consultant solicitor, he leads the firm’s classic and collector car group.

He and his team advise on commercial law relating to historic automobiles and motorbikes, including title and contracts matters, estate and inheritance tax planning, and litigation and mediation in the event of dispute.

Robertson is adamant that good legal advice is essential to classic car ownership: ‘There has probably not been a more important time to make use of skilled and established legal advice. You’d not buy a house without a conveyancing solicitor, so why spend, potentially, more money without similar professional advice and guidance?’

Robertson takes his love of cars out of the office, too, competing in the Mille Miglia race in Italy in 2022 in a 1955 AC Aceca Bristol coupé.
