Dr Raj Persaud has been told that he has seen more billionaires than any other therapist in the world.

Persaud worked as a consultant psychiatrist at the Bethlem and Maudsley hospitals for 14 years before setting up his own practice. ‘Money doesn’t resolve relationship or emotional issues,’ he says, ‘and indeed in many cases wealth actually exacerbates everyday life predicaments.’

He adds that ‘the availability of high-quality independent healthcare in the Harley Street area of London is an essential aspect of why London is the favoured international city for HNWs’.

Persaud says he always encourages his young clients to ‘take a more productive path with their lives’, whatever their circumstances.
