‘The Eastern philosophy has always resonated with me as a designer,’ celebrated interior designer Kelly Hoppen told Spear’s. ‘I’m a purist and I’m all about clean lines, harmony and symmetry.’ 

It all began when Hoppen designed a family friend’s kitchen at the age of 16. Forty years on, she has MBE and CBE appointments, and clients including David and Victoria Beckham.

Hoppen’s portfolio includes homes all over the world as well as hotels, yachts and private jets. Among her many projects, Hoppen has reimagined a private ski chalet near Courchevel and collaborated with architect Jean-Francois Adam on the Lux Grand Baie hotel in Mauritius.

In every instance, Hoppen believes, a stylish interior should be ‘timeless’.
