Jonathan Cary joined RPC as a partner in 2013. His fields of expertise include banking and financial markets disputes, internal investigations and contentious regulatory matters, including FCA enforcement actions. Cary’s client base is diverse and international, with a particular focus on the UK, Asia and Hong Kong, where he is locally qualified and spent a significant part of his professional career.

The University of Bristol-educated solicitor mainly advises HNW and UHNW individuals, companies and financial institutions. In 2018, he advised the Federal Republic of Nigeria on an acquisition of an oil prospecting licence for $1.3 billion by two oil majors.

Cary is also a member of RPC’s competition litigation team, where he focuses particularly on follow-on damages claims.
