Gareth Griffiths has been ‘eating, sleeping, breathing’ sports wealth management since he founded his firm, Pro Sport Wealth Management, in 2009. The former Port Vale and Wigan Athletic professional footballer has carved an impressive niche in the north west of England, where he is able to offer a personal insight into the wealth management needs of footballers.

‘I’ve been in the game for a number of years; I’d always worked on my network,’ says Griffiths. ‘I have good connections in football, the background knowledge in the financial services, but I’ve also lived through the story of what it was like to be a footballer.’

His firm became an official partner of the Professional Footballers Association in 2011, adding further credibility.
