Brooks Macdonald’s Andrea Montague was appointed as CFO of the UK wealth management business in August 2023, only to be appointed as its group chief executive less than a year later. 

Amid a difficult environment for wealth managers and frequent whispers about further consolidation in the sector, Montague will be tasked with reigniting growth at the firm.

Fortunate then, that Montague has a wealth of experience in the financial and asset management sector, including at Standard Life, Royal London and Aviva, where she was group chief risk officer. 

At university in Scotland, Montague studied languages along with accountancy. Early in her career, she worked at PwC, where she qualified as a chartered accountant.
