Spear’s Review
The managing director of Lodha Group since 2010, Abhishek Lodha joined the family firm in 2003 following a stint as a consultant for McKinsey & Company.
The Lodha Group says he has been instrumental in establishing a company that exceeds the expectations of the customer: ‘Under his leadership, the company has transformed into India’s largest real estate developer.’
Responsible for World One, the 76-floor skyscraper in Mumbai, the group is also among the most prolific developers in London and has developed, or is in the process of working on, more than £2 billion worth of residential property. Recent projects include the prestigious No.1 Grosvenor Square, the former US embassy that Lodha has transformed into 44 ‘elegant residences’. As well as the exclusive address and luxurious accommodation, the development boasts a health club featuring a yoga and ballet room, and a cinema and board room for the use of residents, not to mention ‘embassy-level’ security.
Those seeking a residence a little further west could explore the delights of Holland Park Gate, another Lodha development. Residents of these exclusive properties will have access to a 25-metre pool, a health club and spa as well as a library.
Established in 1980 by Abhishek’s father, Mangal Lodha, the group prides itself on collaborating with world-class designers, including interior designer Kelly Hoppen and architects WOHA.
