Joseph Poon, managing director and group head of DBS Private Bank, greatly values discipline and consistency. He rises at 4 each morning to train for marathon running, then runs the company with drive and dedication.

Poon has more than 20 years of banking experience. Prior to his appointment at DBS, he worked as Southeast Asia head of the UHNW segment and head of global family office at UBS Southeast Asia, where he drove the strategic growth for UBS’s highest-value clients.

He holds a BCA and a BA from Victoria University of Wellington and is a CFA charter holder. He has been a board member of the CFA Association Singapore for 16 years.
