Sophie Stevens serves as head of the jewellery department for Christie’s in the Middle East. She joined the auctioneer in 2025 after stints at Sotheby’s and Bonhams – in London and in Dubai.

A seasoned purveyor of and specialist in antique gemstones, Stevens has gemmology and diamond grading diplomas from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. At Christie’s she provides valuations and advises clients throughout the region on their jewellery puchases and consignments, via auctions and private sales around the world. 

An avid watcher of jewellery tastes in the Middle East, Stevens frequently provides media commentary on timepieces and fine jewels, including as a contributor at Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.
