A Grade II-listed country house set in formal gardens surrounded by woodlands, 10 Castle Street is the only private members club in Dorset, offering a rural retreat west of London and the dormitory towns of the Home Counties. But it offers much more than just a country getaway. ‘Our members enjoy various events from art talks from resident artists and galleries, to shooting on exclusive estates as part of our members syndicate, to yoga trips abroad,’ says co-founder Alexander Boon. ‘We want our members to feel that they have their own private country estate – with a dash of party.’ The nine bedrooms and highly commended cuisine give a sense of homely hotel comfort.
