Celebrating its half-centenary in 2019, Tramp was founded in 1969 as a laid-back alternative to the smart supper clubs of the day. The legendary venue took its name from Charlie Chaplin’s on-screen incarnation and quickly became known as a place where celebrities could let their hair down away from prying lenses.
Now, after countless revamps, it is considered to be one of the most exclusive, multi-generational clubs in the world, and remains a regular haunt for many celebrities and HNWs. Loyalty is a motif for Tramp and its clientele. ‘It’s quite remarkable when you work at an institution that has been around for half a century,’ says general manager David Fleming.
