MW Tim Triptree is international director of wine at Christie’s, where he curates, plans and executes the auction house’s slate of global auctions. Based in London, Triptree is also focused on developing relationships with his clientele, sourcing consignments and hosting events and masterclasses.

Promoted to the role in 2018, Triptree has overseen a number of important sales, including the record-breaking sale of a Romanée-Conti 1988 case that fetched £264,000 in 2018. A look at his department’s recent slate shows that this strong run of form continues: it recently hammered a collection of fine and rare wines for £2, 3332,755 in October.
