Classic Car Advisers
Lifestyle & Passion Investments
One of the first to catch on to the potential of classic cars as an asset class, Alexander Lewis set up his classic car advisory to help HNWs both buy and sell cars off- market, avoiding mark-ups that come with buying at auction or via a dealership. Lewis learnt his craft at JD Classics, where he helped to set up its first London showroom.
Clients come to him by personal recommendation, and privacy is a top priority. ‘HNWs want to transact in a private manner, on a more sensible fee structure, and with someone that they trust,’ Lewis explains. The market may well have flattened out, but that’s not a negative, according to Lewis. Rather, it has condensed – and become more collector-focused.
