Tom Stuart-Smith OBE studied zoology at the University of Cambridge before completing a postgraduate degree in landscape design. He went on establish his own business in 1998 and has since designed gardens, parks and landscapes throughout the world. Stuart-Smith’s designs often combine naturalism with modernity and romantic planting. 

Some of his previous projects include the Jubilee Garden at Windsor Castle for the late Queen Elizabeth II, show gardens for the international horticulture exhibition in Berlin and Le Jardin Secret in the heart of Marrakech. 

Stuart-Smith has won eight gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show, three of which claimed the coveted ‘Best in Show’ award. 

He is Vice President of the Royal Horticultural Society and regularly gives talks and lectures on garden design.
