Brian Spiro moved from BCL to Herbert Smith Freehills in the summer of 2017.

He has recently orchestrated the successful conclusion of a dispute between HMRC and a former bank executive subject to an investigation lasting more than five years into allegations of cheating the Revenue. He also acted for HNWs in dispute with the tax authorities, and represented a prominent trader under FCA investigation for alleged market manipulation and insider trading.
