Maung Aye joined Mackrell in 2011 and became joint managing partner in 2023. Aye specialises in corporate law, primarily company and business acquisitions and disposals. His work often involves an international dimension.

‘All businesses, whether big or small, now can have (and indeed want) access to international markets instantly,’ says Aye. Clients come from a diverse range of sectors, including fashion, technology, retail and travel. He also acts for a number of clients in the entertainment industry.

For Aye, the reward for his hard work is ‘seeing entrepreneurs come to me with an idea that develops into a successful business venture and knowing that I have played a part in assisting them on their journey.’
