Trevor Warmington

Rawlinson & Hunter partner Trevor Warmington prides himself on offering a ‘high-quality personal and personable’ service to his clients, who are mostly wealthy international individuals, families and trustees, as well as British entrepreneurs or British nationals living abroad.

‘I treat every client as though they are my only client, so they feel they are a priority and that their affairs or problems are important to me and my team,’ he says. ‘I aim to be honest, open and direct. It is important to build trust and to provide a useful and valuable service by giving clear answers without sitting on the fence.’

Warmington provides tax solutions that are efficient and complete, be it to regularise past affairs which are not in order, ensure correct tax reporting and tax return completion to HMRC, planning for international clients to live in the UK, tax planning for future life events (such as inheritance tax planning or generational gift planning), or setup or dismantling of trusts or other investment or dynastic family structures.

He also works alongside UK and international intermediaries and family offices to offer ‘joined-up’ advice which is tax-efficient within a wider commercial context.

‘I take a conservative approach to complex or grey areas of tax legislation for the peace of mind and reassurance of the client, although some complicated situations involve taking further advice from tax counsel in order to provide that reassurance,’ he says. ‘My clients can be comfortable that their tax affairs are dealt with correctly and robustly.’
