Dance specialises in finance, especially matters arising from international cases and jurisdictional disputes, child abduction, private law children matters and private FDR. His financial relief practice encompasses various issues, ranging from matrimonial finance to Schedule 1 applications, cohabitation claims and claims under the Inheritance Act. His children law practice includes internal and external relocation, child arrangements disputes and international child abduction.

He was the recipient of the Middle Temple Lord Justice Sachs Entrance Exhibition and the John V Lovitt prize for Jurisprudence. Away from law, Dance says he is ‘obsessed with ceramics’.
