Toby Birch has more than 25 years’ experience as an investment manager and runs the in-house portfolios for Gower Financial Services’ discretionary and advisory clients. He was a fund manager at Old Mutual International in London before transferring to the firm’s Guernsey offices. He subsequently worked at Julius Baer on the island and later became a hedge fund manager at a private family office. 

Birch, who regularly writes well-informed blog posts on investment trends and wrote a book in 2007 predicting the credit crunch, joined Gower in 2017, attracted by the firm’s independent approach and personalised solutions for clients.
