Winch Design does not have a house style, but ‘interprets the dreams of its clients’, says director of architecture Simon Tomlinson. ‘We develop a chemistry together to tailor a design narrative that’s thoughtful and bespoke,’ he says. ‘We aim to design spaces that are as personal to our clients as their innermost thoughts.’
The award-winning multi-disciplinary design studio creates dream bespoke homes on land, in the air and at sea. Beginning their design journey with a 36ft sailing boat, the firm has designed and delivered some of the world’s most revered private jets, superyachts and residences.
This year, the firm announced the launch of Studio Winch, tailored to cater for interior refurbishment projects. ‘Clients will enjoy the complete design and procurement experience, resulting in an exquisitely designed interior space of any size or requirement,’ Tomlinson says.
‘It caters to clients who dream of a space curated by an award-winning team with decades of experience at the highest level – from scheduling, to specification, inspections, installation, dressing and aftercare.’
Comprising over half of the business, Winch’s architecture arm continues to thrive: ‘We have brought to life homes that offer pared-back, cutting edge, contemporary architecture and interiors, that celebrate the best of Scandinavian mid-century design, homes that showcase the best of Art Deco and a sprawling chateau that seamlessly combines classic and contemporary influences in one unique private residence,’ he adds.
