Touted as a ‘revolutionary step in property fundraising’ at its launch in 2013, LendInvest has turned a profit every year since 2015, and had £3.6 billion in funds under management in 2023, up from £2.9 billion in 2022. 

LendInvest was spun out of short-term lender Montello Bridging Finance when founding CEO Christian Faes and chief investment officer Ian Thomas saw an opportunity to improve customer service and efficiency by taking their processes online.

Rod Lockhart joined the business in 2015 to run its capital markets division, and has now taken over the CEO role from Faes, who has moved on to a more strategic executive chairman role.
