Butterfield Mortgages CEO Alpa Bhakta has been head of the HNW mortgages provider since it was set up more than half a decade ago. She spearheads the strategy for the prime property finance specialist, which supports both domestic and international clients. 

The adviser, who has more than three decades of experience in finance, is highly regarded in her industry and was shortlisted for the 2023 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards.

At the beginning of her career, Bhakta worked for NatWest for nearly a decade, later moving to BNP Paribas Fortis, where she led a team providing HNWs with property finance solutions.
