International child relocation
Legal Advisory Services
Miranda Fisher has the personal touch when working with clients within the context of a full-service international law firm. Named Family Lawyer of the Year at the 2018 Spear’s Wealth Management Awards and a Top Flight family lawyer in the Spear’s Family Law Index 2020, Fisher is known for HNW cases, from prenups to complex financial disputes involving trusts and offshore asset structures.
She is one of the foremost practitioners in the London market of applications for financial provision following divorce overseas. She has also carved out a particular specialism in the international movement of children, including relocation disputes for private individuals and Hague Convention cases in the rarefied world of HNW international child abduction. Over the years she has become well known for cases involving the Russian Federation and the Middle East and, increasingly, the United States, where she has a growing client base.
Fisher speaks regularly at international seminars, most recently at the Cross Border Planning Conference for the Private Client in Dubai, on the treatment of pre- and post-nuptial agreements in the Sharia Court.
She is results-driven, with a pragmatic and positive approach. ‘I like to settle cases where I can, provided this is in the best interests of the client. Most clients want settlement without acrimony or expense,’ she explains. ‘But, where settlement is not possible, my job is to ensure the client gets the best possible result in court.’
