Trevor Kearney

‘I aim to make the seemingly impossible possible,’ says Trevor Kearney.‘I always want to exceed client expectations and deliver in every way that we can. Clients instruct me because they want to get the job done.’ The director, Country House Department at Savills continues to enjoy ‘huge success’ in the area, including a significant 2019 off-market sale in Sunningdale for £15 million. The last six months have taught Kearney ‘a lot. Our clients have needed us to sell their homes. But, equally as importantly, they have needed us to be a solid foundation, to help them navigate through an unprecedented time and be their support in the market.’

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Kearney has continued to agree sales and is still getting premium prices ‘in many instances’.

The tech-savvy adviser is a force to be reckoned with on Instagram, where his feed, @SuperPrimeSurrey, has more than 55,000 followers. ‘I am selling houses and gaining new clients as a direct result of my social media presence – this is the future.’

It’s quite a feat for Kearney, who became the youngest partner at Knight Frank at the age of 26, and was then made the youngest director at Savills at 28. He describes his field as ‘an obsession’.

‘To be the best at anything you do, you have to give everything and become totally immersed in it,’ he tells Spear’s. Kearney is an integral part of the super-prime ecosystem and not only produces successful deals, but also has an encyclopedic knowledge of the market. Kearney has spent the past decade or so selling homes within the super-prime bracket, and has accumulated an unrivalled black book, from CEOs and celebrities to entrepreneurs, development elites and even, on occasion, royalty.

In fact, he is one of the highest fee earners in the country market at Savills. He is also a director of the firm’s sports and entertainment team, regularly acting on behalf of sports personalities and high-profile entertainment professionals to find suitable homes and investments in the UK and abroad.

Despite having seen many highlights in his 15-year career, an important memory was when he first realised he had become a trusted adviser. Kearney was instructed to act on behalf of a ruling Middle Eastern royal, to acquire a high profile home in Surrey. He was asked to give further advice to the family on myriad property matters. ‘Many years on, and we remain friends,’ he tells Spear’s, ‘and I’ve since helped several of their family members buy and sell homes in the UK.’
