Marco Kern founded Zurich-based private office Sesalpena, which describes itself as a ‘strategic specialist for luxury mobility and assets, financing solutions, entrepreneurs’ needs and private management’.

The former leader of Credit Suisse’s aviation and yacht finance business and non-executive director at Ocean Independence identifies strong demand in markets for jet and yacht financing. He tracks trends in loans against pools of assets such as jets, helicopters and yachts, as well as luxury real estate and other special assets. 

He also holds a private pilot’s licence and says, ‘If you don’t find me in the air or on a sailing boat, you will probably find me skiing.’
