London property has slipped into ‘uncharted territories’, says the straight-talking Ross Ward of Pereds, a firm which boasts a 50 year heritage. ‘I don’t know what’s going on. Do you?’ he laughs.

Uncertainty has worried many of Pereds’ clients, but the firm, which has found homes in discreet locations for the likes of the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, has a clear sight of where the good stock is.

‘We have a very simple saying here, which is, “We’ll find you what you want, we’ll find you the best thing we can, then we’ll buy it as inexpensively as we can,”’says Ward. ‘That’s all you can really do; we can try to guess the market, but frankly, it’s a false game.’
