Andrew Weir

Having spent 32 years in sales at Foxtons, rising to become its Chief Sales Officer, Andrew Weir was appointed CEO of one of the capital’s premier dedicated buying agencies, London

Central Portfolio, in March 2020. The move was a pivotal step in his career, says Weir, who is gradually ‘taking over the reins’ from London buying agent doyenne Naomi Heaton, who founded LCP in 1989. Heaton, now chairman, is focusing on a new hospitality initiative in prime central London.

For UK and overseas property investors and homebuyers seeking exclusive Prime London real estate, ‘LCP provides superior access to buying opportunities as well as hands-on project management and creative design solutions, to suit all aspirations and budgets,’ says Weir. ‘Using sophisticated financial modelling with a detailed appraisal of every proposed opportunity, LCP will identify the best properties and negotiate the most competitive price. As part of its end-to-end service, LCP offers an efficient letting and management service for landlords to enjoy a seamless, hands-off investment.’

‘As a boutique size firm, LCP takes special care to offer each of its clients “a personalised service”, implementing successful investment strategies and delivering their objectives. Our focus for homeowners is to find the best possible solution aligned to both their lifestyle and financial requirements, and for rental investors to deliver the highest returns and best quality tenant as quickly as possible,’ he says.

Weir’s three decades of experience at the sharp end of sales and lettings in prime central London have provided him with invaluable experience for his new role as CEO. The appointment also heralds ‘a new phase in LCP’s history and development,’ says Weir, who was integral to the growth of Foxtons from private ownership to private equity and its initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange. One thing seems certain, however: under Weir, LCP will continue to do what it has done for the last 30 years – which in his words is to ‘provide a one stop service for investors, homeowners and landlords looking to optimise their return on investment’ in property, and to offer ‘a gateway to a significant alternative asset class’.
