Black Brick partner Caspar Harvard-Walls always endeavours to have a clear understanding of what the client is trying to achieve. Once these objectives are crystal-clear, he goes about offering intelligent advice on how to find those clients the perfect solution.
Harvard-Walls’ central philosophy is that the best buying agents are able to give their clients the knowledge and confidence, so that when the right property comes up – whether that be a home or an investment – they are able to make a committed decision to move forward and transact.
‘Once the search has started, we operate a team approach and, as well as using our network of contacts to find the right property, are always thinking creatively to try to uncover the ideal home or investment opportunity for our client,’ Harvard-Walls continues.
The strength of his approach is reflected in his achievements. Harvard-Walls has been at Black Brick for nine of his 15 years in the property market; he was promoted to partner at the firm a mere two years after joining. He has since worked closely with HNW and corporate clients from the UK and beyond, and has gained an unshakable reputation as one who always goes the extra mile, with one client acknowledging that ‘without Caspar... we would not have secured our new home’. In total, he has acquired over £500 million worth of property across London and the Home Counties. He recalls one highlight, which entailed finding a home for a British family on Richmond Hill. ‘The supply of houses on the best roads in this location is always very low, but I was able to gain access to a house that was about to be launched onto the rental market,’ says Harvard-Walls.
‘The location was perfect, and the property had undergone a complete refurbishment fairly recently. It was perfect for my clients, and we were able to buy it without it ever coming to market and exchanged a couple of days before Christmas.’
But the success of Black Brick, stresses Harvard-Walls, is down to the firm’s collaborative approach, which has been taken even further in the last 12 months.
‘I genuinely believe that our clients are seeing the benefits of our 80 years’ combined experience in the residential markets, especially in these challenging times,’ he says.
