Spear’s Review

Alex Dauley is an interior designer who founded her London-based studio in 2016.

Focusing on high-end residential projects for a clientele that includes city professionals and business owners, Dauley’s designs can be found across London apartments, townhouses and family homes, from Streatham to Wimbledon and Notting Hill. 

Her ethos centres on the ‘transformative power’ of interior design. She tells Spear’s: ‘I very much believe in the premise that a really great interior will improve your sense of well-being; it will allow you to live the life which you aspire to live.’ Her designs typically centre around a neutral colour palette, and she layers texture and colour in an impactful way. ‘Everything has to be practical and functional, and then [wrapped] in a beautiful aesthetic to suit,’ she says.

Other notable work includes designing Universal Music Group’s offices and co-founding the charity United in Design, which was set up in 2020 with the aim of increasing diversity within the industry.
