Former family lawyer Rhiannon Ford was inspired to start her divorce consultancy after realising that clients would benefit from a service that moved beyond strictly legal advice and which offered practical and emotional support.

Ford’s understanding of the legal process means she is able to advise couples on finding a solicitor and preparing for meetings; she also provides witness familiarisation training ahead of court hearings. She always endeavours to provide clarity and comfort. 

‘My coaching and legal background together work quite well in providing help and support for clients,’ Ford tells Spear’s. ‘Clients are comfortable in talking about what can be, obviously, very emotional and very sensitive subject matter.’ 

A member of Resolution, the network of family law professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes, Ford received the organisation’s Working in Collaboration Award in 2024.
