Former executive recruiter Barbie Adler shifted career paths when she entered the world of HNW matchmaking. She sought to apply her expertise in ‘recruiting top talent’ with her ‘passion for helping extraordinary people find love’. 

She established Selective Search in 2000, and since then the company has matched over 4,000 couples. It claims to have an industry-high success rate of 87 per cent. 

The company offers clients a six-step process which includes a one-on-one interview with an expert matchmaker, a screening process of potential partners, and a proprietary framework where 225 key indicators/characteristics of an individual are carefully considered.

Adler credits the firm’s success to her professional approach. ‘For me, business is personal. Everything we do is with deep care and integrity,’ she says. ‘We are creating legacies… we are literally changing lives’.
